Grace grew up in the small town of Carpinteria, CA, nestled between the mountains and the sea. Her mom taught creative movement for kids, so she began her journey to yoga through dance and play.
After graduating from UC Davis with her bachelor’s degree she traveled around the world making documentary films. It was during this time she began studying yoga in earnest, taking classes in Spain and Bali.
Before returning to Carpinteria, Grace spent ten years living in Venice Beach, CA where she was blessed to continue her practice with world renowned instructors including Lauren Ekstrom and Travis Eliot. In 2017 Grace received her Yoga Alliance 200 hour teacher training under their guidance.
Grace’s classes offer a strong Vinyasa flow, with good music, and spiritual philosophy.
How Yoga Serves Grace
Yoga is a sanctuary for me to rest, recenter and release. I find that practicing always leaves me feeling a deeper sense of contentment and ease with every aspect of my life. It is truly a gift I feel fortunate to share with others.
Words of Wisdom for Students
One teacher always said, “That which you resist persists.” I find this advice so helpful in difficult situations in life and my yoga practice. The only way to overcome it is to shine the light of awareness on it. Take a deep breath and accept what is.
