Magdalena first began practicing yoga from her own living room, following the same four sequences from a CD boxed set (remember those?!). Throughout her collegiate career, she explored aerial, acro and hot yoga, playing with different styles and shapes of the body. Last year, she completed her 250 hr Flow training with Evolation. She enjoys the creativity of creating sequences for her classes, and the physical practice of Vinyasa the best.
Magdalena’s classes have been described as ”fun, yet firm’. She aims to convey the importance of alignment and breath cuing, while smiling (and sometimes giggling) at the joy of the practice.
Yoga for Magdalena is self-care. It is a pause button to the hustle and bustle of the day-to-day, and a recharge. With a consistent yoga practice on the mat, she is able to listen best to her body, her emotional self-awareness increases, and life’s stresses seem to melt a little easier.
If I am to give any advice, it would be this: Just breathe. Turn inward. Whether we’re on or off of our mats, the present moment is all we’ve got. The past is behind us, the future is unknown, and this moment is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present. Focus on this. Namaste.
